Designing a Unified Learning Management System for Schools, Teachers, Students, Parents, and Health Staff

The Background
Most learning management systems focus mainly on teachers and students. They provide tools for delivering courses, submitting assignments, conducting assessments, and reviewing grades.
However, a school is a larger ecosystem.
School administrators manage people, classes, schedules, and operations. Parents need visibility into their children’s attendance and academic progress. Nurses manage sensitive health information and student visits. Platform administrators need to manage multiple schools from one central system.
Fidel Portal needed to combine these workflows into one product while maintaining clear permissions, simple navigation, and a consistent user experience.

Stage 4. User Feedback & Refinement
Conducted user testing with a diverse group of app users, including policyholders and claimants, to gather feedback on the redesign. This phase was crucial in identifying any unforeseen usability issues and validating the effectiveness of the new design elements. Iterative refinements were made based on this feedback, fine-tuning the app's interface to maximize user satisfaction and engagement.
Stage 5. Implementation & Launch Support
Worked closely with the development team to ensure a seamless transition from design to implementation. Provided ongoing support and guidance during the development phase, addressing any design-related challenges that arose. Played a pivotal role in the app's successful relaunch, closely monitoring user feedback and engagement post-launch to guide future updates.
Outcomes
The redesigned Warranty Smart Indonesia app received positive feedback from users, who praised its improved usability, streamlined claims process, and professional design. The project was a valuable learning experience, deepening my understanding of user-centric design principles in the insurance industry and the critical role of design in enhancing customer satisfaction and retention.
DESIGN TO DEVELOPMENT
A clear path from insight to launch
Each phase reduced uncertainty before development began. Research shaped the product direction, prototypes tested the experience, and close collaboration helped the final build stay true to the design.
01
Discover the real problem
Audit the current experience, speak with users, and identify the moments creating friction or uncertainty.
02
Define the product direction
Translate findings into priorities, user flows, and a focused roadmap that connects user needs with business goals.
03
Prototype and validate
Move from wireframes to high-fidelity prototypes, testing key interactions before engineering effort is committed.
04
Build, review, and launch
Partner with developers through implementation, review visual details, test the live experience, and refine after launch.
THE FINAL EXPERIENCE
A polished product ready for real users
The final experience brings the research, interaction decisions, and visual system together in one coherent product. The result is easier to understand, more efficient to use, and structured for a confident development handoff.
